An extraordinary red wine needs an exceptional terroir. The Bolgheri area in the Tuscan Maremma has always been fascinated to us. The dense forests, the typical Mediterranean macchia and the proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea create a unique microclimate. Maybe that's why we chose it as the home of our Tuscan Reds.

The Wine

In this part of Tuscany it is not ruling the Sangiovese, but Merlot and Co. The noble grape variety unites here with Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot to a unique blend. Mineral soils, cool nights and plenty of sun give our Tenebroso and its smaller representative, Insidioso, its sweet fruit and finesse.
